Paraburdoo, WA
Paraburdoo Tennis Club is based in Paraburdoo, a Rio Tinto company town in the remote Hamersley Range of the Pilbara, established in the early 1970s to service nearby iron ore mines. The club has 4 floodlit hard courts and provides recreational tennis for local residents and mining workers in one of WA's more isolated inland Pilbara communities. Paraburdoo sits near the boundary of Karijini National Park, and the red dust landscape and extreme summer heat shape the club's competition calendar.
